Local context

Altdorf is the capital of Uri in the Reuss valley, on the Gotthard north-south axis. It is historically important and locally central for Uri, with the Tell monument and old town identity, but it is not a Zurich metro lifestyle substitute.

Compare it with Schwyz, Stans and other central Swiss valley centres. It is strong as a regional centre, not as an urban DINKS or student default.

Watch: Distance from major job, university and nightlife hubs should carry real weight for urban profiles.
